Percepción inteligente para los vehículos autónomos y conectados
-
This is a flagship national R&D project, part of the Sustainable Automotive Technology Programme (PTAS), subsidised by CDTI (Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology) and supported by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
36 months
2021 to 2023
The challenge
By 2050, it is predicted that more than 70 per cent of the world’s population will live in large cities and, as a result, the effects of congestion problems, lack of capacity and space in urban centres, high levels of pollution, road safety problems, and people protection issues are expected to increase. Therefore, today all regional and municipal governments and public administrations around the world are aiming to develop sustainable and equal mobility supported by technology.
The solution
The project aims to limit human driving and control capabilities and improve traffic capacity and conditions by designing, developing and implementing key technologies capable of moving driving towards more and more automation. In line with the improvement of driving automation and the specific levels of autonomy, under which a vehicle can be classified, numbered from 1 to 5, the main objective is to reach levels higher than the current level 2 (L2) through the development of a vision platform, which allows to achieve a high impact on the mobility sector, addressing transversal aspects such as safety, autonomy and sustainability of future transport.
The intermediate objective is to achieve the correct implementation of the different types of technologies involved in the following differentiated parts of the project:
- Objective 1
- Objective 2
Data collection and processing
Communications and data sharing
Outcomes: Key results
- Use case definition methodologies
- Evaluation plan and evaluation analysis
- T1.1 Refining use cases
- T1.2 Technology requirements for use cases
- T6.1 Autonomy, safety and cybersecurity models

TeamAware
Is developing and demonstrate an integrated and cost-efficient situational awareness system for first responders from different sectors with heterogeneous and hardly interoperable sensor units including drone mounted, wearable, and external sensor systems. ENIDE will develop a prototype for mobile interface of TeamAware common situational awareness picture.
AWARD
Will develop and enable a safe autonomous transportation system in a wide range of real-life use cases in a variety of different scenarios. This encompasses the development of autonomous driving system (ADS) capable of handling adverse environmental conditions such as heavy rain, snowfall, fog.
3-CO
The 3-CO project aims to improve the sustainability performance and competitiveness of bio-based systems and will focus on consumer-oriented labelling options for sustainable industrial BBPs. The supportive framework developed in 3-CO includes actionable guidelines for label design for LCS owners that reflect consumers’ and other stakeholders’ needs, digital solutions to support better-informed decision-making processes of consumers as well as policy recommendations on deploying social measures.
